What year is this Fender jazz-bass S ? For most of Fender’s U. Most notably, production dates have been penciled or stamped on the butt end of the heel of the neck of most guitars and basses, although there were periods when this was not consistently done to , for example or simply omitted. Neck-dating can be useful in determining the approximate age of a guitar, but it is certainly not definitive because the neck date simply refers to the date that the individual component was produced, rather than the complete instrument. Given the modular nature of Fender production techniques, an individual neck may have been produced in a given year, then stored for a period of time before being paired with a body to create a complete guitar, perhaps, for example, in the following year. Therefore, while helpful in determining a range of production dates, a neck date is obviously not a precisely definitive reference.

Don’t let anyone try to convince you that there is a Strat Plus, they just did not exist. It was owned by a former Fender employee who recently passed away. The strings, I am certain, were the original from 87, as they were rusty and hard to pull through the nut. I have owned ‘s of Strat Plus’, as well as helping s of people to identify their guitars. I also saw where Shell Pink was listed as an available color from Fender in color code 56 but not in any of the Strat Plus brochures.
This is the oldest Strat Plus I have come across yet, as it came off the assembly-line July 27th, !

Tips and How-To’s So you need to figure out the year of production for your Fender guitar or bass. Fenders rank as the most frequently bought and sold instruments on Reverb, and finding a precise date of manufacture can be key to determining the value and specifics of an instrument. The most important thing to keep in mind when dating a Fender is the highly modular nature of the designs. Like Henry Ford, part of Leo Fender’s genius was in optimizing the company’s production efficiency.
His guitars were built en masse by an entire factory, not a single luthier toiling over one instrument at a time. Features like bolt-on necks and pickups wired into the pickguard all helped the Fender factory churn out guitar after guitar, day after day. This also means that various parts used on a particular guitar may have come from different points in time, so no single number can absolutely define when the instrument was built.
Instead, the best approach to dating a Fender is to combine indicators from the design of the instrument, the dates found on the neck and body, along with the serial number. Design Changes and Features Perhaps the best place to start when dating your Fender is to get an approximate idea of the era based on the instrument’s design and components. This can be a tall order for someone less versed in guitar history, but we do have some resources here on Reverb to help you out. For starters, there’s the Reverb Price Guide which has thousands of entries with pictures and details on various guitars and other gear.
Some browsing around the Fender section of the Price Guide can definitely help you find which model you have. We also have some other blog posts related to Fender that can hopefully be of some help.

Sex including 2 minors.? Me and my girlfriend me being 15 and her being 14 have had sex many times without anyone finding out. But now her parents have found out and they’re going mad although they only think we’ve had sex once. They’ve told my school and I’m scared that they’ll contact the police. What is my legal stance?
It will be a 50’s telecaster body no holes for ferrules because the strings will go through the bridge plate, a Fender MIM ’s one piece radius neck, a Epic Telecaster Bridge pickup from Klein, a vintage bridge Gibson embossed (c) humbucker.

I’ve emailed some folks over in Sweden who seem to know much about Hagstrom so hopefully they’ll get back to me. I haven’t taken any photos yet. Will do so soon. The shop I bought it at said there was only one previous owner. The guitar definitely has its fair share of dings and scratches and finish issues. But because the neck just plays so nice and the beast its heavy sounded so great, I didn’t care what it looked like. And how can you resist that cool Hagstom headstock and those awesome tuning keys.
The orignial owner replaced the hagstrom bridge pu with a Dimarzio have no idea what model but it sounds very sweet. There is also a missing part or two

CBS on January 5, Prices for especially pre-CBS guitars grew sky high due to perceived high quality and scarcity. The actual marker of a new guitar era is of course the enlarged headstock!
The large headstock first appeared in December The new design allowed a bigger decal. As mentioned, the CBS take-over is often considered as a negative turning point in the history of Fender, which is nonsense of course! The success of the company created such an enormous growth in demand that the owners Don Randall and Leo Fender, who suffered from health problems, could no longer managerial handle the consequences of the fast growth of the company. It is often said that the CBS management did not adequately look after the quality of the guitars.

About Guitars Buying a new guitar is a considerable investment for most of us. An instrument is all about inspiration. You are the musician and the guitar is the tool you use to express your feelings and music. This has nothing to do with what models you choose or how much they cost. Some basic knowledge about the different wood types, neck and body profiles, pickups etc will help you in making the best choice. However, over the last decade or so, the MIMs has gotten a considerable face lift and the overall quality is very high.
