Table of General Staff ‘A’ Numbers
Leave a comment I already own a number of premium tanks. However, for various reasons I do desire more. These are not inclinations I will be able to act on in the near future, but for when I do have some free gold here is my current shopping list. The reasons are almost entirely aspergic. Unlike many premiums it does not benefit from any special matchmaker, but I do not mind that. This is the missing one. Essentially I want, at some point, a high-tier German premium.

British Tank Matilda, Valentine After the severe tank losses of , the Red Army relied heavily on captured enemy vehicles and tanks supplied by Britain and the USA tank. Most Western tanks were seen as inferior, but were vital until new Soviet tanks arrived.
It was a rare example of a private venture tank design that was accepted for mass production, and thus didn’t have an ‘A’ number like most British tanks. Although it was produced in large numbers, the Valentine was something of a compromise design. It was really too lightly armoured to act as a true infantry tank. Most Valentines had a two-man turret, which reduced its efficiency in combat. It was slower than most cruiser tanks.
On the plus side it was reliable and popular, and for a period in the middle of the Second World War was the main British tank. Like that tank it was originally armed with the excellent 2-pounder anti-tank gun or the poor 3in howitzer, but it was later upgraded to carry the 6-pounder anti-tank gun and finally a 75mm gun.
Development and uses[ edit ] Heinz Guderian in the Battle of France with the ‘Enigma’ machine The German tank force was a success due to tactical innovation more than tank quality. In actual tank-on-tank encounters the German armor performed poorly, but as a coherent unit, the combined arms tactic of the Blitzkrieg shocked the Allies. Guderian had planned for two main tanks: The design work for the Panzer IV had begun in and trials of prototypes were undertaken in , but by the time of the invasion of Poland only a few hundred ‘troop trial’ models were available.

Visit Website Ritual Sacrifice Lupercalia rituals took place in a few places: Lupercal cave, on Palatine Hill and within the Roman open-air, public meeting place called the Comitium. The festival began at Lupercal cave with the sacrifice of one or more male goats—a representation of sexuality—and a dog. The sacrifices were performed by Luperci, a group of Roman priests. The blood was then removed with a piece of milk-soaked wool as the Luperci laughed. Feast of Lupercal Feasting began after the ritual sacrifice.
When the feast of Lupercal was over, the Luperci cut strips, also called thongs or februa, of goat hide from the newly-sacrificed goats. They then ran naked or nearly-naked around Palantine whipping any woman within striking distance with the thongs. Many fell in love and married. Over time, nakedness during Lupercalia lost popularity. The festival became more chaste, if still undignified, and women were whipped on their hands by fully-clothed men.
Saint Valentine There are several legends surrounding the life of Saint Valentine. The most common is that on one February 14 during the 3rd century A.

However, the British themselves actively used Valentines from to the first half of The Soviet Union, who received almost half of these tanks, used them much more actively. The Valentine was one of a few foreign tanks that saw a large scale conversion effort. Swap the Gun In the summer of , when the issue of shipping tanks to the USSR was first explored, the Soviet side scrupulously studied them. Cruiser tanks were rejected outright. Among light tanks, only 20 Tetrarchs were ordered.
Mainly, the Valentine and Matilda were chosen. The slow speed was compensated by thick armour for their class and a diesel engine, which was an especially important feature for the Soviet purchasing commission. It is worth mentioning that these sales had nothing to do with the Lend-Lease program. The tank were not rented, but paid for in full, partially with gold. During their use, many defects were discovered.
Trials showed that the track pins broke due to excessive tightening of the tracks performed by British instructors.

Leave a comment Overall Well the first thing to note about my tanking in February is that illness got in the way of a lot of it. Indeed as of writing this I am still uncomfortably ill. However my credit grind for the IS-4 has been less than successful as I have made a few side-purchases. Going forward into March I intend to make a determined effort to start amassing those credits.
One small milestone that has passed this month is that I have fought my eight thousandth battle.

We head through the indoor courtyard where Venus’s statue used to stand, veering off through one of the archways after Crystal. The air is expectant — hopeful even. Has Crystal found out what’s going on?
Can we use her information to save Cal? I’m expecting to be led to Venus’s office — the narrow, black and white space scented with myrtle flowers and rot. But instead Crystal veers off down another elaborately tiled corridor, up some steps, and to a white door with Crystal, C. O written on a black metal plaque.

Matilda II tanks remained in action until the last day of the war in the Wewak, Bougainville and Borneo campaigns, which made the Matilda the only British tank to remain in service throughout the war.
Unfortunately, to reach this speed, it is necessary to give up on the heavy armor, which results in the susceptibility to being penetrated by any enemy encountered in the battlefield. This unique combination of a light and medium tank is one of the most interesting vehicles of tier six, available for the players, and probably, the most pleasant to handle.
